Crash Report Update Website Now Available

July 28, 2021

Baton Rouge, LA - The Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS) is pleased to report the launch of the official LA eCrash report update website. The site serves as an information hub for traffic safety data stakeholders as they navigate imminent changes to the state crash report and the transition from LACRASH to the LA eCrash reporting software.

The website offers stakeholders information on both why and how the state crash report is changing, as well as insight on the new electronic crash reporting system. It contains a timeline for the development and rollout of LA eCrash, and information on how these updates will affect law enforcement agencies. The helpful frequently asked questions (FAQ) section addresses questions about the costs, system requirements, and features of LA eCrash. Lastly, the site offers a number of helpful resources to prepare for the transition such as a map that compares how current data elements will translate in the new crash report. The website can be found at crashreportupdatela.com and updates will be posted as they become available.
