Biographical Summary
Phillip Breaux received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in GIS from The University Of Louisiana Lafayette (ULL). After, Phillip worked as a Geospatial Project Manager with the NASA/UL Regional Application Center, while there he acted as a consultant working with the university on teaching GIS classes and labs, worked International Charter Space and Major Disasters activations, promoted and presented the NASA Earth as Art program and was a consultant to USGS.
Phillip then received a position at the Acadiana Planning Commission (APC) which encompasses the Acadiana MPO, while there he managed a regional GIS grant which included aerial imagery acquisitions and building a GIS enterprise system. During his period at APC, he received a seat on the Louisiana GIS council as a designee and was on DOTD’s Statewide Topographic Mapping Committee. He also received his GIS professional certification (GISP).
