Biographical Summary

Rachel Packer is a Louisiana native who received a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems & Decision Sciences with a minor in Internal Auditing from Louisiana State University in 2020. Directly upon completing her undergraduate studies, Rachel pursued a Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) from Louisiana State University, where she worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS) from November of 2020 until graduating with her MSA degree in May of 2021. After pursuing a Data Analyst role at a local company in Baton Rouge upon receiving her MSA degree, Rachel rejoined CARTS as a full-time Data Analyst in July of 2022. Exhibiting an extensive toolbox of analytical capabilities, Rachel focuses on maintaining public, Louisiana crash-focused dashboards, developing analytical applications, and creating systematic methodologies to further enhance transportation safety across Louisiana. Ultimately, Rachel’s work is distributed to highway safety stakeholders and researchers who utilize these resources with intentions of creating safer transportation structures across the nation.
